  • Before my daughter started Occupational Thearapy, she would have violent outbursts, refuse to touch certain textures, and was having a hard time with potty training. Since starting Occupational Thereapy with Ivan, she has blossomed into a bubbly, happy 3 year old. She allows me to give her hugs, she'll touch just about anything and is fully potty trained. I feel very fortunate to have Ivan in my daughters' life. She has such an incredible bond with him. Ivan, as well as the rest of the PTS staff are the best. They are highly trained professionals who I believe, genuinly care about their patients and want to make a difference. Ivan has made a difference in my daughters life as well as mine. He has now given my daughter the chance for a bright and promising future. And for that, I am forever grateful.              - Trisha 2010
  • Occupational therapy has, for the last two years, been an important part of my family's life. My oldest daughter receives this therapy and it has been incredibly beneficial to her. When I first started bringing her to Primary Therapy Source, she was tense, introverted, has difficulty in sports and social situations, and didn't smile very often. Since going to occupational therapy, my daughter smiles and  laughs a lot, is sometimes silly (which I didn't really see in her before), and is more able to relax. She is even sleeping better. Occupational therapy has had such an impact in my daughter's life that other people notice the difference. I've actually been approached by her baskerball caoch and been told she's noticed a huge difference in my daughter's performance and demeanor. Our home life is affected as well. My daughter gets along with her sisters better and is more likely to join in on group activites at home. I've even had a few neighbors  mention to me that my daughter seems friendlier and more easy going. She's even made a few more friends, which is not something that I would've anticipated before occupational therapy became a part of our lives.  My daughter has also developed some skills that help her calm herself down when she's feeling over-stimulated, so something as simple as a trip to the grocery store has become a much easier task. In short, occupational therapy has been a huge blessing.
  • I came to Primary Therapy Source in July 2009 having suffered a right pontine cavernous malformation which left me with right facial drooping. Ivan Hardcastle became my occupational therapist and began therapy, involving facial exercises and strengthening. After only a few weeks of therapy, I noticed a big difference. Today the right side of my face and mouth has recovered almost 100%. Thank you, Ivan and Primary Therapy Source.
  • Six months ago I was a parent on the sideline, unable to intervene or help my child in any way to deal with his overwhelming anxieties.  Simple tasks such as going out to dinner, or to the grocery store, were impossible luxuries meant for other “normal” families. Now, thanks to Mandy and the team at Primary Therapy I am a parent empowered!  I now have the knowledge and tools I need to be an effective parent once again.  And, most importantly, my son is gaining the confidence and curiosity he needs in order to be a happy, growing child.  What a relief and a joy to watch my son participate in the world around him!   Thank you, Mandy, for giving him and his family the promise of a bright future!    -Heather Platts
  • Jen …“Thank you for the great time and effort you have given to Gage, he has made great improvements and I know that you were one of the major factors in that improvement.  Keep doing what you do so well.”
  • Seven years ago, our son, Hunter, first met Jan Yingst.  We have been working with Jan and Primary Therapy Source ever since that time.  With a diagnosis of ataxic cerebral palsy, doctors told us that Hunter would most likely never walk.  Between Hunter’s immense determination and hard work and Jan’s optimism, patience and perseverance, Hunter has made significant progress and now walks independently with minimal assistance.  He has also achieved many other goals that assist him in his everyday life.  Primary Therapy Source has provided Hunter with resources, optimism and respect.  He has been given the power to dream big and never say “never”!   Terri 2009
